creenwriter/producer Adrian Scott was one of the first to be called before the House Un-American Activities Committee in the early 50s. His name was provided to the committee by director/producer Edward Dmytryk, with whom Scott had worked for many years.
After refusing to testify, Scott was named as one of the Hollywood Ten, blacklisted and sentenced to a year in prison.
Following his release, he never worked in films again.
